Dressing up in a bikini for the summertime is something anyone can do, but the real trick lies in adorning it correctly. A few clever knots can instantly transition your look from a beach or camp setting to a bar scene. What’s there not to admire? They’re fashionable, laid-back, and incredibly easy to carry off. Plus, they offer the advantage of switching up your look in a blink.
The reason I’m enamored with the concept of pairing a sarong with your swimsuit is that it simplifies the process of sporting one. There are days when I don’t feel at my best, either bloated or not as toned as I prefer, and the last thing I want is to don a bikini. We’ve all had those moments!
But then, there are styles that work with these body changes and make you feel like a million bucks.
Similarly, a sarong serves as an excellent intermediary step towards feeling comfortable in a bikini if you’re apprehensive about wearing one. How I wish I’d known the art of draping a sarong over a swimsuit earlier! This trend has countless style variations, but I’ll share a few that top my favorites list.
Long skirt
This ranks high on my list of favorites. As a designer, it’s all about creating an illusion of elongated elegance for your body. This kind of sarong comes highly recommended if you wish to emphasize your legs by making them appear leaner and longer.

Halter dress
You don’t have to go to the islands for a delightful sarong-style halter neck dress. Live the island life wherever you are at.
