Feng shui operates on the belief that our living spaces reflect our inner selves. Its goal is to align your surroundings with your identity and aspirations— creating harmony between your personal energy and that of your home.
I personally re-created my home with Fen Shui style. Yes, you heard it right, the ancient art of arranging your living space could be the missing link to welcoming your future husband in your love nest.
Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese philosophy, teaches us how to strike a balance with our surroundings, influencing the flow of energy or ‘chi’ in our homes. By integrating the principles of Feng Shui, you can create an environment that not only radiates love and warmth but also promotes a healthy relationship and marital bliss.
Now, before you start rolling your eyes and dismissing this as some new-age mumbo jumbo, let’s remember that Feng Shui has been around for over 3,000 years. It might be older than your granny’s granny’s granny, but hey, old is gold!
First things first, you need to declutter. Yes, those piles of magazines from 2005 need to go. And that stuffed teddy bear from your ex? It’s time to say goodbye. Clutter blocks positive energy and we can’t have that when we’re trying to attract love. After all, no man wants to navigate an obstacle course just to get to the sofa.
Next, focus on your bedroom, the heart of your love nest. In Feng Shui, the bedroom symbolizes love and relationships. To create a harmonious environment, opt for soft, soothing colors and avoid bright or harsh tones. The position of your bed also plays a crucial role. It should be easily accessible from both sides and not directly in line with the door. Also, incorporate pairs in your bedroom décor as they symbolize partnership and equality.
In addition to this, create a balance of masculine and feminine energies in your space. Too much of either can disrupt the harmony. Incorporate elements that represent both energies, like combining curvy furniture (feminine) with angular pieces (masculine), or mixing soft fabrics (feminine) with harder materials (masculine). If you are putting in so much effort, man will notice
Lastly, add symbols of love throughout your home. Pictures of happy couples, heart-shaped decorations, or even a pair of mandarin ducks (a classic Feng Shui symbol of love) can enhance the feeling of romance.
Remember, it’s not about making drastic changes but about creating a balanced and welcoming environment. As they say, “If you build it, they will come”. And by ‘they’, I mean your future husband, of course! Now go forth and Feng Shui your way to love!
